How to Train Your Dragon Book 1

How to Train Your Dragon Book 1 Review

I bought this book after watching the movie with my 7 year old twin boys. First, the books are NOTHING like the movie. Usually I would say the book is better than the movie but in this case I have to say that the movie was better than the book. Don't get me wrong, the book was still good and fun to read to my kids. They loved all the farting and funny name calling that goes on and they enjoy all the little drawings. We've already started reading book 2.

How to Train Your Dragon - David M. Riethmeier - Rochester, MI USA
I had to read this after watching the movie of the same name. It was fun and entertaining but the question, what book did the writer of the screenplay read? The movie is nothing like the book, however the book makes up for it by being a decent read even if it is a kid's book.

Fun! - E. M. Tennessen - The Windy City
I actually bought this book for my 18-year-old son after we watched the movie. (In our family, we are never too old to read children's books!) My son laughed through most of the book and thoroughly enjoyed it, even reading passages to me out loud. He commented that the book is not like the movie--but both are good and he especially recommends the book. Delightful illustrations throughout the pages. Read this one with your family!
